The Wellington County Training Officer’s Association consists of station training officers from seven municipal volunteer fire departments spread across thirteen stations within Wellington County. Training Officer’s meet regularly to share resources and work together with a county training co-coordinator to provide current, relevant, standardized and practical training evolutions to 350 volunteer firefighters. Wellington County volunteer firefighters provide fire suppression, auto-extrication, technical rescue, medical, public assistance, fire prevention and public education services to over 85,000 residents in rural and urban settings. Training Officer’s have committed their time to ensure all firefighters are educated and posses the skills to perform their duties safely and effectively.
